Lathe wood, carry water: a conversation with Craig Villarrubia about ACIM

In this video, Craig Villarrubia, videographer of a documentaryEnlightenment Or Bust! – about A Course In Miracles and one of the principals of the three annual MiracleShare (online) Conferences a few years ago about ACIM, among many other Course-related contributions – talks with Bruce Rawles about his journey through the Course. He shares from his learning (as we’re all encouraged to do from ACIM’s teaching) to watch without reacting or giving meaning to our dreams. He speaks about watching the resistance and ego sabotage (such as demeaning identification with the various forms of doing … or not doing “productive” things) we all experience when we dedicate ourselves to finding and following the better way provided by ACIM’s guidance. Peace is the real “productivity” we’re all searching for, even if we don’t admit it. We also talked about how the current COVID-19 situation provides us forgiveness opportunities to go deeper than the superficial conflicts in our minds and look at our strong positions as camouflage for fear by any other name. “Nothing is so blinding as perception of form.”

“My favorite definition of forgiveness in A Course In Miracles is to watch without judgment. It gives us permission to watch the thoughts without getting caught up in the thoughts.” – Craig Villarrubia

Craig is currently living on the Big Island of Hawai’i and applying Course ideas while doing everyday things such as making beautiful wooden bowls on a lathe – check out his artistry on KoaWoodRanch.com
