Truth is true, and nothing else is – A Conversation about Lesson 152 with Jackie Lora Jones and Bruce Rawles

Jackie Lora Jones, of the helpful “The 24th Hour – Positive News Magazine“, video blog YouTube Channel series of the same name also hosts a radio show “True Forgiveness Teachings” series on BlogTalkRadio on occasional Tuesdays. We continued our conversations about A Course In Miracles (ACIM) in this audio.

We talked about Lesson 152 “The power of decision is my own.” 

The emphasis of this conversation was an extremely challenging – but rewarding! – assertion from this 152nd Workbook Lesson from A Course In Miracles, particularly the first sentence for the third paragraph, which is clarified with the disclaimer in the 4th and 5th sentences and speaks volumes about our profound – insane! – resistance to peace.

“Salvation is the recognition that the truth is true, and nothing else is true. This you have heard before, but may not yet accept both parts of it. Without the first, the second has no meaning. But without the second, is the first no longer true. Truth cannot have an opposite. This can not be too often said and thought about. For if what is not true is true as well as what is true, then part of truth is false. And truth has lost its meaning. Nothing but the truth is true, and what is false is false.” – W.pI.152.3

Healing the Chaos in Our Minds

With everything going on in “the world” today, Jackie and her guest, Bruce Rawles, highlight A Course in Miracles’ reminder that we can choose to remember the Truth of What we are at any time, in any place, and when confronted with any situation.

How can any of this mess be by our own decision? (we ask)

As we follow Jesus as our internal teacher, he reminds us where these “horrific” images and experiences are coming from. We have the power to “choose again” when our triggers rear their ugly heads! We are taught to practically apply forgiveness in the world. The world events become our classroom in learning to go back to the mind and correct our mistaken belief in sin (separation).

This gets into the radical nature of the Course’s non-compromising message that only the Truth is true! Nothing else is true – the whole time-space dream of duality is of our own making as an effect of our choice for the ego. Jackie and Bruce discuss Lesson 152: The power of decision is my own.
