“From Never-Mind to Ever-Mind”: Touching Ever-Mind: The Perfect Moment – a conversation with Dr. Bob Rosenthal

Dr. Robert RosenthalIn this video, “Dr. Bob” a.k.a. Dr. Robert Rosenthal and Bruce Rawles talk about chapter three from Bob’s new book “From Never-Mind to Ever-Mind“. entitled ” Touching Ever-Mind: The Perfect Moment”. This third chapter from Bob’s recently released book addresses how mystical and non-physical “light” experiences are reminders and precursors of the inevitable remembrance of our Real, All-Inclusive Self. These experiences, though the form varies tremendously for each person, tend to have common elements:

  1. An Expanded, Expansive Sense of Self
  2. A Pervasive Sense of Peacefulness
  3. An Experience of Light Not of this World
  4. Overwhelming, Unconditional Love
  5. Total Absorption in the Moment
  6. A Profound Conviction of Holiness
  7. A Sense of Presence

He continues with examples of stereotypical conditions (usually aligning with our belief systems in ways that encourage our return to mindfulness) that sometimes appear to trigger these moments such as nature (e.g. wilderness experience), psychedelic drugs, extreme physical exertion, illness or clinical death, sexual climax, etc. At some point – usually after many years of extended practice! – we learn that we can transcend the apparent need for these catalytic conditions when we discover we can choose the thought system of forgiveness which allows us to remove our self-imposed blocks to peace.

Along with Tamara Morgan – daughter of Judy Whitson, the founder of the Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP) which publishes A Course In MiraclesDr. Bob is co-president of FIP, as well as the author of From Plagues to Miracles (FPTM) – his prior book about ACIM –which explores the metaphysical metaphors and symbolism of the story of Exodus, available in both paperback and Kindle editions. The book page on his (new) Robert Rosenthal, M.D. website provides an overview of his books, novels and screenplays. Listen to numerous interviews with Dr. Bob here as well on Charlotte Spicer’s BlogTalkRadio channel series.

This video was recorded Feb. 14, 2019.

Here’s an interesting and related (audio) recording “Cupid & the Groundhog (Spiritual Meaning of Groundhog Day & Valentine’s Day)” where Dr. Bob shares helpful thoughts on how the shadow metaphor is expressed through our cultural celebration of Groundhog Day (including the beloved movie of the same name), as well as Valentines Day with a lucid explanation of the psychological metaphors of the Cupid and Eros myth as well.
